The challenge
The Sierras de Córdoba face increasingly severe wildfire seasons. Villa del Rosario sits at the wildland-urban interface, with residential areas extending into fire-prone vegetation. The municipality lacks the technical capacity to produce fire risk maps or integrate satellite fire detection into emergency response.
Our approach
Scoping phase. Planned approach includes wildfire history mapping, fuel load assessment, and WUI delineation for evacuation planning.
